Little Prince – Review

little prince
  • Title: Little Prince
  • Author: Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
  • Genre: Children’s book, Fable & Novella.
  • Story: 3.5/5
  • Writing Style: 5/5
  • Overall: 4/5

This will be short.
I have no idea what happened in this book.
I loved the writing style and the story – I guess.

I have no idea what was going on as I read this, took almost 2 month to finish because as I struggle with it.

Maybe I am the adult the author talks about in the book. I don’t see the boa constructor that ate an elephant from the inside or the outside. All I saw was a hat…

Or maybe I was the fox Little prince tamed. I wanted to be tamed but at the same time I knew how that would make me feel so I didn’t let myself be tamed by this story.

So maybe in a few years if I go back to it or maybe if I somehow manage to get my imagination back from my childhood maybe then I would understand this a bit better.
Nevertheless it was a nice read with lots of beautiful quotes.

One of my favorite

Little Prince is one of those classic books that everyone wants to read and understand it in depth. But I guess it is hard for us – adults- who have already lost our child like imagination. Where kids understand this more easily, we struggle to grasp the basic idea of Little Prince. And my review of it does reflect that. I had no idea what was going on. Though I loved the writing. The chapters with the fox were my favorite. I have re-read that part so many times. Such a strong message given in such simple words. It was beautiful.

Yet, I struggled to understand the main point the author was trying to tell. Maybe next time I’ll.

Did you guys liked the cover I made? Didn’t took that long but it turned out really well.

Until next time, happy reading!
